Community Engagement
In Allegan, Big Rapids, and Three Rivers, we engaged with the community to vote on which park to plant the tree in. We hosted an in-store voting process for the first two weeks of April. This allowed community members to have a voice in the decision-making process and helped to ensure that the selected planting location was truly representative of the community’s desires.
Allegan
At Jaycee Park in Allegan, we focused on the dog park area and planted three “Green Giant” Arborvitaes. As dog lovers ourselves, we wanted to create a space that would be enjoyable to both pets and owners.
Big Rapids
Northside Riverside Park in Big Rapids was chosen by our community members as our location due to its central location in the city. We planted two Greenspire Linden with New Horizons Landscape. This park is a popular spot for picnics, outdoor events, and family gatherings.
Muskegon
In Muskegon, we chose Harbor Towne Beach, also known as “Mom Beach,” as our planting location. We planted a Linden tree, Kentucky Coffee, and a Catalpa. This beach is a popular spot for families to gather and enjoy the beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline.
Sturgis
In Sturgis, we partnered with The Naked Shirt, a new local business that specializes in custom screen printing and embroidery. We planted one Northern Red Oak and one Crabapple Prairie Tree. By planting trees at their business location, we hope to not only improve the local environment but also support a local business that shares our values.
Three Rivers
Lafayette Park in Three Rivers was selected by our customers as our planting location due to its central location and historical significance. We planted one Northern Red Oak and one Crabapple Prairie Tree. This park is the site of many community events and sports games.
Mt. Pleasant
At our Mt. Pleasant facility, we focused on planting trees on the property itself. We planted a Tulip tree and an Oak tree. As a cannabis cultivation facility, we recognize the importance of sustainable and eco-friendly practices. By planting trees on our property, we hope to improve the overall health of the environment and to contribute to a more sustainable future.
Owosso
Finally, our Owosso facility is located in a rural area, we recognize the importance of enhancing the natural beauty of the surrounding environment. We planted a beautiful crab apple tree at the facility. We are eager to see it grow throughout the years.
Our Arbor Day Commitment
Arbor Day was a particularly meaningful event for us because it aligned with our commitment to sustainability and protecting the environment. Trees play a crucial role in our ecosystem by providing oxygen, absorbing carbon dioxide, and providing habitat for wildlife. By planting trees, we’re not only beautifying our communities we are located in, but we’re also helping to combat climate change.
Timber Cannabis Co.
At Timber Cannabis Co., our name is a nod to our belief that trees, and cannabis can coexist in a mutually beneficial way, and we’re dedicated to promoting sustainable practices in the cannabis industry. That’s why we’re thrilled to have been able to participate in Arbor Day and help make a positive impact on our communities.
